The story we are here to change

1. Her first period begins

Around age 12, she gets her first period—often with little understanding of what her body is trying to tell her.

2. Shame takes hold

Not understanding what is happening she feels shame and often experiences pain

3. She is dissmised 

Doctors perscribe her birth control or tell her to live with the pain

4. She grows up believing a lie

She internalizes the lie that her body is the probelm and loses sight of her dignity
